What are the biggest challenges that farmers face?

BAGUIO VEGETABLE'S ANSWER

"In farming, our biggest challenge is the weather. When typhoons or floods strike our farm, we lose everything and have to start over from scratch. There is no profit, and we are left without capital or financial resources to continue."

HOW DOES KULTIBADO HELP?

By connecting farmers with agricultural experts through the Kultibado Support Network, farmers can better adapt to natural disasters and unpredictable weather patterns. Kultibado helps farmers earn fair wages from their produce, enabling savings that they can use to recover after a disaster.

What do you love about farming?

BAGUIO VEGETABLE'S ANSWER

"First of all, farming is our way of lifeβ€”my parents are farmers. I love the simplicity it brings, with healthy vegetables and fruits available to eat anytime. Farming is hard work, but it feels rewarding and almost heavenly when you see different kinds of produce growing.Honestly, I have come to appreciate this 'farming life' even more during the pandemic, as we all needed healthy food to stay well."

What's one thing you wish people knew?

BAGUIO VEGETABLE'S ANSWER

"I wish people knew that even though we are not a big company, we are capable of supplying fresh, healthy produce. We have our own farm and a group of farmers who support each other, united by the dream of supplying fresh produce all across the Philippines"
